Mcc Board meeting public minutes 5/25 

  1. Office and Staff updates: Elena Has been here most days from opening and close. She has had a few people come in for SAMF tickets. We have a triple header of events coming up the weekend after SAMF. 
  2. Votes: Emergency vote, started by email completed by google chat, to add Amiee to the new community first credit union, due to the bank switching owners. 

Old Business: 5 minutes each

  1. SAMF25- tickets sold 106 weekend day, 130 day tickets. Site is currently being built and should be finished by friday. Then vendors and volunteers move in. 
  2. ROTR25- sales are on par and are looking better than 2024. 
  3. New Media associates(talked about at last private meeting 6/4) – Lonny, Maybe? (push till next meeting?)-they did email Nick back today though. We will be communicating this week?
  4. Board sponsor endeavors- per email shanon sent earlier this week. HAF has a list, 
  5. Shanon has been having a conversation with Re-deck, a loan company. About getting funds. 
  6. Tressa and Demond are working on a health and fitness grant. 

New Business: 5-10 minutes each

  1. More outreach and tabling at community events- trying to sponsor local events and getting the mateel logo on other peoples posters. – we can sell space on our marque for other events. – make an advertisement on marque advertising that people could rent it.   
  2. Newsletter- Christy is organizing and encouraging others to be active in making it. 
  3. Brochures-  for air bnbs and hotels advertising our space. 
  4. Youth night- under 18 club, she wants to get together with the youth and make a neat cool fun thing for the local youth. We would have to look for a sponsor or a grant. – to do that should engage with the other community groups that work with the youth. 
  5. Board night- where we have a community/public gets to hang out and meet the board members.
  6. Pleasure sent out our new security protocol to our security team. 

Public Comments 3 minutes;

  1. Tanya Malley; Sustainability at Reggae- 
  2. Green sustainability Gal(Carley), 200 cups for summer arts? Carly will even make a grant template for us for the HLA. -new world water sets up Hydration stations at events. -Toss wear for getting cups with our branding. She did send a quote over to Tanya, for her Green sustainability plates, 1000, plates and cups. 1500 forks, 500 bowls, 2530$, just for drop off and pick up. . (OCF does it this way.)-She would like to be involved in all our events. -Josh would like to see a cost ratio of comparing reusable silverware, vs disposable. 
  3. Shannon mentions we should use some of the HLA grant money, to buy some merchandise, IE branded cups. 
  4. Steven Lulu – PGand E grants to upgrade infrastructure to improve power usage. , he recommends redwood energy cost authority, No coast energy audit done. He wants to offer his services to plan, design, and permit,  a solar array. For ground mounts. The roof is maybe more difficult.  – (elena mentions we had a PGand E power inspection in January 2025) 
  5. Bamboo utensils for use at events. 
  6. Private meeting was canceled August 6th. 
  7. We are gonna do a trade with Kyle Sterner for two single day tickets to ROTR25 in exchange for oysters.(suggested by Babbette)

Up-coming Events:

  • June 21st & 22nd SAMF at Sohum Park
  • Aug. 1st, 2nd, 3rd Rotr at County Line Ranch
  • Do we do something at Lonnies 4th of july event? We will attempt to table at 2 events. Benbow and miranda.
