PRESS RELEASE!
Please provide the Mateel with a press release and event graphic as soon as possible for our website. There is no charge to post your event information to our website to help assist in promoting your event but we can’t do it without your event information!
INSURANCE
Renters are required to provide $1,000,000 liability coverage naming The Mateel Community Center as additionally insured.
ALCOHOL
You may be able to serve beer and wine at your event with a request. The MCC retains the first right of refusal to run the bar and may deny permission to serve alcohol if it is deemed appropriate to do so.
KITCHEN
Whether you are serving a full meal or simple snacks and refreshments, this is important! You may need assistance. Many community non-profit organizations raise money by hosting kitchens at events. Ask for suggestions.
CLEAN UP
In addition to your hall rental fee there is a clean-up fee of $200.

PARKING
The Mateel Community Center will provide ‘no parking’ signs for local businesses at no additional
cost.. Please remember to ask for them from the office.

TABLES AND CHAIRS
The Mateel has available and will provide upon request, 17 tables, 175 padded chairs. Please reserve these items WELL IN ADVANCE of your event.
STAGE AND OTHER EQUIPMENT
Stage, curtains or cyclorama may or may not be constructed at the hall. Please request these items 90 days in advance. Additional charges will be applied.
SOUND TECHNICAL DETAILS
This is only a general equipment list, and site description as of 06/25/24.
Mateel House Sound System:
The PA is a vintage Crest, JBL, Gamble system. All analogue accept for the JBL DC260A speaker management system, and outboard digital effects.
Console: FOH,
Gamble EX56.
This is a 56 x 10 plus matrices console with a comprehensive TT patchbay. The console has eight mix groups, eight matrices, and eight auxes. Each channel has a sweepable HP filter and four band parametric eq.
Outboard Rack: FOH,
DBX 160a x 4, DBX quad 166 compressor x 1, Draymer Gate (stereo) x 1, Behringer quad ultra gate x 1. FX – TC x2, Lexicon x2
Console: Monitor,
Allen and Heath mix wizard 16×4 only. There is a full 48-channel XLR split from the FOH console.
Outboard Rack: Monitor,
Eq – DBX 31 band eq/limiter (multi mono) x 4, for 8 channels total.
Snake:
Consoles are connected by a 48-channel split with an additional 48-channel output fan (male XLR).
There is one 24×4 sub-snake that is movable about the stage.
Speakers:
Mains,
Flown, Tri amped Linear audio cabinets with all JBL components. Each cabinet contains Two 18” drivers, two 10” drivers, and one horn. There are two cabinets per side, four in total.
Punters/front fill
Two-way powered QSC x 2. Located on tripod stands off of SR/SL . One per side
Subs,
Dual 18” open-faced JBL enclosures x 2. Located under the front of the stage (one box per side).
One powered QSC 18” sub under the stage in the center.
Monitors,
Biamped two way enclosures x 3 are assignable to two separate mixes.
Two-way QSC wedge x 4.
JBL EON 2way wedges x2.
Venue layout
The Mateel Community Center is a two-level venue. The stage is 24’ x 16’ x 4’ with stairs at stage left, and right. There is a green room within the crowd control device at stage left. The monitor console is floor standing approximately two feet from stage right. The in/out splitter box for the house consoles is on a floor-standing outboard rack on stage right. The FOH is located in the center of the mezzanine.

CHILDREN
It is Mateel policy to allow children 12 years of age and younger into events for free. If your policy differs from this, please let us know.
GUEST & VOLUNTEER LIST
The Mateel will present the renter with a guest and volunteer list. The guest list will include Board and Staff and immediate neighbors names and their plus ones. Volunteer names will be involved with the bar (if applicable), bar security, and clean-up and kitchen if applicable.
DECORATING
Decorating must be done on the day of the event or pre arranged with the office. Only removable tape may be used to hang decorations. Decorations must be removed following the event, (within 3 hours), by the renter. Special arrangements must be made for additional time for decorating or removal. NO DUCT TAPE, NO TACKS, NAILS, SCREWS OR OTHER OBJECTS SHALL BE DRIVEN INTO THE WALLS, DOORS, OR FLOOR. NO GLITTER, NO SAND, NO ANIMALS. NO PROP PAINTING INSIDE THE HALL. All equipment, (musical, stage, tables, etc), must be lifted off the floor while being carried or moved so as to maintain floor surface. Carpet squares are available for use to prevent floor damage.
