The May edition of the Mateel Comedy Cabaret features one of the Bay Area’s best comedians, Butch Escobar as well as Victor Pacheco and Tony Persico at Mateel Comunity Center, Friday, April 14th, doors open at 8pm show starts at 8:30pm, $10 cover at the door.
ABOUT THE COMEDIANS
Butch Escobar:
Butch Escobar: One of the most prominent comics in the Bay Area, producing and peforming muiltple shows including his monthly “Unfiltered Underground” at the San Jose Improv, Butch frequents the southern California comedy scene as well, and is a regular fixture at the Hollywood Improv and the Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard. With material based on his everyday life, his comedy is constantly evolving.
Victor Pacheco: This Oakland-based comedian and writer delivers biting commentary that pokes fun at taboo topics and personal angst awith self-depracating irony. Producing and hosting several comedy events around the Bay Area, Victor is constantly inviting us all to the party with him as the master of ceremonies.
Tony Persico: He has been called, “an odd guy” and “decent” by some of the most respected comedians on the West Coast. With an intense personality and sometimes dark perspective, Tony covers everything from religion and politics to the frustrations of driving and being attacked by a public toilet.
