Dave makes a motion to pass minutes, Theresa seconds all in favor minutes pass

  1. Office and Staff updates: busy month, hall rentals, ROTR in office calls are from older demographics, gathering supplies for ROTR is underway. Amie is out. 
  2. SAMF: Wrapup from Elena: 
  3. Votes: *Dave Sundberg makes a motion to accept Jameson’s proposal and to waive the rental fee for the first event. Mateel to get the kitchen and bar. Alex Chivington seconds the motion. All in favor. Motion passes

Building; John Bruno no updates he has not been- Shanon has September update on batteries for hall

Finance Amie McClellan Dillon- budget for ROTR is tight- ticket sales are good- we need to stick to the budget and cut where we can to make more for the MCC

Membership Theresa Campbell 327 memberships to date- social media posts has brought in some new members. All staff and board are encouraged to make their own posts to encourage more members. Every day Google Mateel Community Center and check out what’s going on- leave a review ❤️

Youth Shanon Taliaferro Youths from the High School are volunteering more and getting involved-

          Steel Pulse – October 6th on sale – 

           Renegade Nights sept 26- at community park date change- 

Policy and Bylaw 

Personne Josh Harden l- new hire John Ireland for sponsorship lead – John is at public meeting- first day went well- we appreciate his work and desire to come aboard to join the Mateel family 

Dining Dave Sundberg Babette- Distel turkey is donating 600lb of turkey for ROTR- They have donated for a few years now and we would like to see them acknowledged and recognized in our sponsorship- David Morris is donating his freezer truck for use- NN is this weekend, Brian Prewitt will be donating what’s left over for the MCC to use – in turn whoever benefits from the donation it would be nice for the Mateel to recognized as well

Old Business: 5 minutes each

  • Waiting on a proposal from Algra Studio- Still waiting on proposal from John and Ashley regarding mugs
  • Planning for Renegade Nights- We need to have a separate board meeting with Eryn, Elena, Ashley and all get on the same page and start working on it
  • My Humble Abode has sent a proposal to the board for ROTR – there are requirements that need to be met in order to be properly insured and in order to move forward it could be costly- Alisha will send email thread to the board so everyone is up to date on what is happening

  • Has anyone checked in on 🌲 Reggae on the River Community Boost Proposal (Javier Rodriguez)- He will be provided items to table at the Farmers Market on Friday- Theresa tables at the RR 50 years celebration 
  • Check back on Bruce’s Chair project
  • Gyppo Ale will be at ROTR with their merchandise for sale and will donate back to the Mateel- 
  • Green Ox – is interested in making pre-rolls for ROTR and donating a 2%  of proceeds to the MCC- Pleasure makes a motion to accept the proposal, Josh seconds the motion all in favor, motion passes-Shanon abstain
