1. Approve minutes: 4.15.26 Public Meeting Minutes Josh motions to approve – Dave seconds all in favor- Minutes Passed
2. Office and Staff updates:

2 Sets of Reggae tickets were auctioned at the Firemans Ball correction 1 pair of ROTR tickets w/VIP add on and 1 GA Parking Pass and 1 pair of weekend passes to SAMF.-Ew

4 tickets for SAMF are headed out to Nor-Can for an event at the Adorni Center

Reports:

1. Committee reports:

Building; Josh says not much to report- he will reach out to some students to help with the stage extension at the Community Park and stage at CLR – hall needs painting and grounds work done

Finance: Tickets are on track: sales have slowed. SAMF is on track for meeting our budget- Spread the word for Yellowman push on all social media platforms. Anyone can bring sponsors in for SAMF and ROTR, if you know of a business or philanthropist  please ask them to sponsor our event that supports keeping the community center open and available.

Membership: 5 new members at KMUD block party. Redwoods Rural 50th Anniversary Theresa will table in July 17, 2026 she is requesting baked goods to sell from the board

Dining: We need people to help for Yellowman- a kitchen director and clean up crew – SHHO will provide food for volunteers at SAMF- Working on spring cleaning out pantry and freezer- as well as conex boxes in the parking lot- reach out to babette to help- Steve will come to repair for free but will charge to come back a second day and we pay for parts- Please call Babette to volunteer or reach out to Elena in the office.

• Allegra studio (Ashley Wilma): Ceramic Studio in Meadows Business park- All people who do ceramics there are members-the organizer of the studio is retiring and they would like to know if the Mateel will umbrella them so they can become a nonprofit and file for grants – Ashley will write up an MOU with all the utilities and rental insurance information clearly stated –  Creating an Umbrella to incorporate Alegra Studios into the MCC- All board is in favor of this with further information being presented
• My Humboldt Abode (would like to offer Private Car Service to Staff, VIPs, and perhaps the General Admission attendees for the SAMF and/or ROTR 2026. (Samantha Wilson): Sam would like to provide our patrons with a private car service for our events- Shannon suggests purchasing a business membership and offer a percentage of profits to the MCC- Shannon makes a motion that My Humboldt Abode is given the opportunity to provide shuttle service at the MCC events with the condition that she purchases a business membership and for Sam to provide an MOU- Darren seconds- everyone is in favor- motion passes
• 🌲 Reggae on the River Community Boost Proposal (Javier Rodriguez)- 420 Peace Vibes quick.pdf– Dave makes a motion that we accept Javier’s proposal- Teresa seconds – all board is in favor – motion passes
• Bruce Champie- would like to make  huge adirondack chair for children both young and old to play on at our events at the hall- it will be placed on the upper flat on the back 40- Pleasure makes a motion to allow Bruce to build the chair pending Elena finding out about insurance coverage- Dave seconds all in favor- motion passes

Public Comments 3 minutes;

Tembra- Would like to speak about what kind of show we want to have in the fall- JGB- Devil Makes Three – she would like to be added to Events and Talent committee- Trike a pose- make fun seating at ROTR- ROL have all event tickets have a terms of service that releases the MCCC of all liability
