Meeting Called to Order at:

Announcements: 3 minutes each

  1. Approve minutes: 8.21.24 PUBLIC BOD Minutes Pleasure would like to amend the minutes of 8.21.24 to reflect that we were incorrect with the 300,000 to 350,000 estimate of ROTR24, it is more likely in the 200,000 range, pleasure makes a motion to approved the amended minutes. John seconds one abstain,  4 approved. 
  2. Office and Staff updates: Elena – working on cleaning the office space. Been working with our interim maintenance person Kai. – working on getting volunteers for Grateful dub and picnic in the park. The phones have been pretty quiet since ROTR24. – some difficulty with refunds with easel, and square.(volunteer refunds) – Cannifest, didn’t do well with the booth this year, still had fun and networked alot. Megan has been working on the merchandise closet. We are getting low on some of the Mateel mech, but we still have alot of summer arts and reggae shirts. -if you didn’t pay for your staff sweatshirt, come and pay for it. 
  3. Committee updates: Dinning-Josiah, Babette and Christy worked on the kitchen, Christy is doing a popup, doing an adult themed movie and dinner night. Our movie permit needs to be renewed by November. -Revist the movie night- ovens need to be dropped off to be checked out by Bluestar gas. 

Possibly swapped out with the one that is funky/dirty in the kitchen. *John plans on doing that tomorrow…. We should keep one at clr and one at the park. 

-Events and talent – this weekend it is the grateful dub show, we have a good round of volunteers. Other Events are below under upcoming events. – we need to find someone to run the Mateel’s birthday celebration kitchen

Old Business: 5 minutes each

  1. ROTR 24 Public wrap-up/afterthought/ suggestions: pleasure and Alisha went through wrap up notes, they are compiling them. 
  2. Financial Report- Nate- we are still wrapping up the ROTR24 financial report Nate, and Amy are doing an audit, and Nate had a P and L for us to all look at. It is not accurate and  we are still going through all\the numbers. If everything works out well, we might be coming out even……

New Business: 5-10 minutes each

  1. SAMF 25’- date-location- solidified as 21st and 22nd of June
  2. ROTR 25’-Date is solidified as first weekend of August -production team- talent team- identifying roles -land owners and Leo’s contract we will be coming in soon. 
  3. Picnic in the park- Oct. 5th- all hands on deck, some volunteers still needed? Pumpkins needed for decoration. 
  4. Co-Pro events- what ATL offers vs what we are offering Pleasure would like to make a motion to reach out to Ineffable to see if they are willing to come to the Mateel. Christy seconds and all here are in favor. 
  5. ICS -training- schedule a date Shanon is communicating with Diana to schedule a date. 
  6. SH training- sending out a reminder for those who haven’t done it. 
  7. Hall Sponsorships- November- Elena is going to reach out.

  1. Draining of the pond- plan is to be drained on Tuesday. 

Public Comments 3 minutes;

  1. Josiah- was curious if the hay here needed to go to the park. But the park has enough hay bales.
