High Times and Mateel Community Center reach dissolution deal on future of Reggae on the River Festival

October 25, 2019 – High Times, the most well-known brand in Cannabis, today announced the dissolution of its agreement with the Mateel Community Center, which focused on a partnership around the Reggae on the River festival. Both parties are pleased with the outcome of these negotiations, due to unforeseen costs associated with producing the annual reggae event.

“Although we unfortunately had to cancel our event this year, a great deal of work went into our attempt to produce the event, both through permitting and other lead planning duties,” Eryn Snodgrass of the Mateel Community Center Board of Directors said. “High Times Productions was an invaluable asset throughout this process and provided some very helpful information that aided in producing the Reggae Legacy event at the hall we held in its place – which was a successful and profitable two-day event.”

“It is with great sadness that we had to make this announcement, but High Times has nothing but respect for the Reggae on the River legacy and wishes it success in overcoming the obstacles presented by its unique location. The majestic Eel river is a picturesque location and we hope to visit and attend this wonderful event again in the coming years!” High Times CEO Kraig Fox stated.

“We would like to extend a big thank you to High Times Productions for all of their professional help, especially with the monetary lifeline they’ve provided us around Summer Arts 2018. They went above and beyond to try and assist with a difficult situation, and at no small risk or cost to their organization. Although the unique location and nature of our event makes continuing this partnership impossible for both parties, we wish them nothing but the best on their many events and endeavors.” Snodgrass continued.
