Northern California&#8217;s Premier Light Dep Cannabis Cup.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN:<\/strong>\u00a0Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PDT)<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHERE:<\/strong>\u00a0Mateel Community Center &#8211; 59 Rusk Lane, Redway, CA 95560, United States<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/golden-tarp-awards-tickets-27416905703?aff=ehomecard\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-437 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/mateel.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/get-tickets-here.png\" alt=\"get tickets here\" width=\"260\" height=\"115\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Golden Tarp Awards is a celebration of the Emerald Triangle\u2019s cannabis culture and a cannabis competition highlighting flowers produced using light deprivation, a cultivation technique that manipulates the light cycle of cannabis plants with minimal electricity use.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>An exhibitor\u2019s fair will showcase cannabis brands and farmer-friendly businesses.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Speakers and panels are scheduled for the Main Stage in the Mateel Hall, and Humboldt Cannabis College will hold classes throughout the day in an classroom canopy.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty judges are picked randomly from the cannabis community and have access to the exclusive Judge\u2019s Hall off-site. All entries are tested before being considered for the semi-finals in 4 categories (Fruit, Floral, Fuel and Earth).
