For North Coast live music fans Mateel Forever offers something for everyone. Object Heavy will present their take on soul, funk and a dash of Hip Hop that they have been touring throughout the Pacific Northwest. Also featured are Cold Blue Water one of Humboldt’s premiere Blues, Rock, Jazz, and Jam Bands who blend classic covers with well-crafted originals that deliver a powerful punch of authenticity. Altar Tones play  roots reggae influenced by the Rastafarian nyabinghi gathering known as the “groundation” ceremony and Opera Alley Cats comprised of some of the finest Jazz musicians in Humboldt County

The Mateel Community Center is experiencing financial hardship and is seeking the community’s support in keeping their doors open. At an open forum in September, the Mateel shared information regarding a financial shortfall after the recent Reggae on the River festival, a key source of annual revenue for the center. A 501-c3 non-profit, the Mateel offers diverse arts, social services and youth programming that is vital to this rural Northern California community. From hosting International music superstars and political forums, to local theatre and dance performances, to presenting seasonal festivals, the Mateel adds to the fabric of the vibrant region. Donations will be accepted, partial proceeds from the cover charge will be donated to the Mateel and Lifetime Memberships will be available at the Mateel Forever event.
