Coming up in June 2013, the 37th annual Summer Arts and Music Festival will again offer up the most comprehensive and affordable celebration of art and culture on the North Coast. A favorite celebration to welcome the arrival of summer, the event takes place on the banks of the Eel River at Benbow Lake State Recreation Area and will feature 4+ stages of entertainment with more than 120 performances by acts local to international, more than 150 handmade craft and food booths, an outrageous kid zone, all-media fine arts show, the Generation Green tent, and lots of fun for the whole family.

This Friday, February 1st at 12:01am, online ticket sales began for the 29th annual Reggae On The River™. Making a triumphant return to the festival’s original French’s Camp venue, located just north of the Humboldt County line near Piercy, CA on August 1-4, 2013, reggae fans worldwide are overjoyed at the news of the festival’s homecoming and tickets for this highly anticipated event are expected to go fast.

A down-home celebration of bluegrass & beyond, the 9th annual Humboldt Hills Hoedown will return to the Mateel Community Center in 2013. It customarily features a variety of world-class and local performers on two stages, along with vendors, a kid zone, petting zoo, country games, jamming opportunities, and lots of fun for the whole family.

Showcasing the diverse wares of more than 60 handcraft artisans, the Winter Arts Faire is southern Humboldt's premier holiday art and craft extravaganza. A great way to welcome the winter months, the annual event takes place in Early December, 2013 and will feature live music by local performers, wintertime food and drink, children's storytelling, and a visit from Santa. The event also serves as a drop off location for Toys For Tots and the Humboldt Food Bank. Traditionally open 10am to 6pm both days with Santa dropping in!
