The Artists of the Emerald Coast Art Show and Wine-tasting is an annual springtime event that happens on the last Saturday of April. The works of more than 20 North Coast artists are on display from 3pm to 8pm at the Mateel Community Center in Redway. Tastings of Southern Humboldt-made wines, including varietals from award-winning Briceland Vineyards, will be available for purchase, and complimentary delectable hot and cold hors d’oeuvres are included in the price of admission. Original art, from oil and watercolor paintings, sculpture, photography and fine woodworking, to charcoal drawings, fabric art, weavings and more will fill the entire hall, upstairs and down.
More than 20 kids from the Spring Arts Collective (SPARC), a Mateel after school program that teams local artist/mentors with aspiring young students, will proudly display their works and perform several musical compositions as well.
